Bangladesh continued their winning run in the Under-19 Asia Cup by defeating Nepal by seven wickets in Dubai, securing their second consecutive victory under the leadership of Azizul Hakim Tamim. The win strengthened Bangladesh’s position on the path to the semi-finals.

Bangladesh currently top Group B with four points. If Sri Lanka defeat Afghanistan in the next match, both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will qualify for the last four, with their head-to-head determining the group winner.

Chasing a target of 131 runs, Bangladesh had a shaky start, losing two wickets for 29 runs. However, opener Jawad Abrar anchored the innings and ensured victory with a match-winning knock of 70 runs, hitting seven fours and three sixes. He added a 92-run partnership for the third wicket with Kalam Siddiqi.

Bangladesh’s bowlers also delivered a strong performance, with Mohammad Sabuj taking three wickets to bowl Nepal out for 130. Sad Islam, Shahriar Ahmed and captain Tamim each took two wickets. For Nepal, Abhishek Tiwari scored the highest with 30 runs.
