Bangladesh girls bounce back with convincing 3-0 win over Nepal
Bangladesh’s Under-17 women’s football team secured a commanding 3-0 victory against Nepal on Sunday, marking a strong comeback in the SAFF Under-17 Women’s Championship.
The young Tigers began their campaign with a 3-1 win over Bhutan before suffering a 2-0 defeat to India in their second match. However, they regained momentum with this impressive win over Nepal.
The first half saw Bangladesh take a decisive 2-0 lead with goals in the closing minutes. Thuinui Chakma, wearing the number 10 jersey, opened the scoring in the 41st minute, followed by a strike from Souravi Akand Preeti in the 45th minute.
Just before the final whistle, Riya Joy sealed the victory by extending the lead to 3-0, ensuring Bangladesh’s dominance in the match.
This victory not only boosts the morale of the team but also strengthens their hopes of advancing further in the tournament.
