Bangladesh in command after Day 2 of Mirpur Test

On the second day of the Mirpur Test, Ireland ended the day at 98/5 in their first innings. Hasan Murad took 2 wickets for Bangladesh, while Khaled Ahmed, Taijul Islam, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed one each.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 476 in 141.1 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim reached his 100th Test century with 106 runs, becoming the 11th player to achieve this milestone in his hundredth match. Litton Das scored 128, and Mehidy narrowly missed a fifty.

The innings also marked only the third time in Bangladesh’s history with three century partnerships in a single innings.

Bangladesh leads by 378 runs and will resume on day three in a commanding position.
