After taking the lead by winning the first match, the Tigresses ultimately failed to secure the series. Bangladesh women's team lost the series-deciding third and final ODI against Sri Lanka by seven wickets in Rajshahi, handing the three-match series 2-1 to the visitors.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh posted 213 runs for eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Sobhana Mostary played an outstanding innings, scoring a brisk 74 runs off 80 balls. Captain Nigar Sultana Joty made a patient 40 off 90 deliveries, though her slow-paced knock affected the run rate. Sharmin Akhter scored 25 while Ritu Moni added 20 runs towards the end.

Chasing 214 for victory, Sri Lanka lost captain Chamari Atapattu early for 10. However, Harshitha Perera and Imesha Dulani then built a 108-run partnership to lay the foundation for the win. Dulani departed for 56, while Perera fell agonisingly short of a century, dismissed for 95. Hasini Perera remained unbeaten on 44 as Sri Lanka reached the target with 21 balls to spare.

Marufa Akter took two wickets and Sobhana Mostary claimed one for Bangladesh.

The two teams will now face each other in the T20 format following the conclusion of the ODI series.
