Bangladesh loses 3-0 to Vietnam

The Bangladesh national football team suffered a big defeat in a warm-up match before taking the field against Singapore in the final match of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

Bangladesh lost 3-0 to the host Vietnam national football team in a friendly match held at Hang Xu Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam on Thursday (March 26).

Vietnam was aggressive from the start of the match. They scored their first goal in the 8th minute, taking advantage of the opportunity from a corner.

Then, Bangladesh conceded another goal from a set-piece in the 18th minute. After conceding a third goal in the 38th minute of the first half, the red-green team fell behind 3-0 at the break.

Bangladesh mounted some attacks after the break, but failed to find a goal. On the other hand, Vietnam also did not increase the scoreline. In the end, the match ended with a 3-0 goal difference.

Vietnam are ranked around 108th in the FIFA rankings, while Bangladesh are about 180th.

The coaching staff sees this match as the last preparation for the Asian Cup qualifiers. Bangladesh will take on a tough opponent, the Singapore national football team, in the next match.
