Bangladesh make history with maiden Test victory over Pakistan

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan for the first time in Test. That too by going to their house again. In the first test of the two-match series, the Tigers defeated Shan Masood's team by 10 wickets on Sunday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

After bowling out Pakistan for 146 runs in the second innings, Bangladesh went into bat with a target of just 30 runs, which Najmul Hossain Shanto's team topped with 10 wickets in hand. Jakir Hasan scored 15 runs, Shadman Islam made 9 runs. That's the first Test win on Pakistan's soil.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field, sending Pakistan in to bat first. The hosts declared their first innings at 448-6 after 113 overs, with Muhammad Rizwan scoring 171* and Saud Shakeel adding 141.

For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud each took two wickets, while Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz each claimed one.

The Bangladeshi batsmen delivered a remarkable performance, posting a total of 565 all out in 167.3 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim led the charge with 191 runs. Opener Shadman Islam contributed 93, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 77. Mominul Haque and Litton Das also made significant contributions with half-centuries, scoring 50 and 56, respectively.

Pakistan were all out for 146 in their second innings, with Muhammad Rizwan scoring the highest 51. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four wickets, while Shakib Al Hasan claimed three. Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud, and Shoriful Islam each took one wicket. Mushfiqur Rahim has been named Man of the Match for his outstanding innings of 191 runs.
