National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman has said Bangladesh does not want any foreign interference in its internal matters and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance against terrorism.

He made the remarks at the Colombo Security Conclave in New Delhi on Thursday (November 20).

He said Bangladesh stands for national sovereignty, equality, political independence and the principle of non-interference, while also supporting an open, peaceful, secure and inclusive Indian Ocean.

Earlier on Wednesday, Dr Khalilur Rahman met India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and invited him to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time.

This is the second Delhi visit by a Bangladeshi adviser since the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus took office in August last year.

Energy Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan visited India in February to attend India Energy Week.
