Bangladesh sends humanitarian aid for Gaza people
Nine countries, including Bangladesh, have sent 2,000 tons of food and medical supplies as relief for the residents of the Gaza Strip in Palestine. This relief is sent through Al Azhar Zakat and Charity House on the occasion of Ramadan.
In a related statement, Al Azhar Zakat and Charity House said, since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, this shipment is the largest of all the relief shipments to Gaza. Apart from Bangladesh, the eight other countries that have added relief to this shipment are Indonesia, India, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, France, China, Canada and Germany.
Al-Azhar Zakat and Charity spokesman Abdel-Aleem Qashta, told Arham Online, "Trucks carrying relief goods will enter Gaza from Egypt's North Sinai through the Rafah border crossing."
He also said, "Al-Azhar Zakat and Charity has sent a total of 4,000 tons of relief and humanitarian aid products since the cessation of hostilities in Gaza on October 7 until the beginning of Ramadan. Relief was sent last December."
Abdel-Aleem Qashta said, "This fleet has been organized based on donations from 80 countries. Of these, nine countries—Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, France, China, Canada and Germany—have contributed the most."
