Bangladesh slip to 184th in latest FIFA rankings
Bangladesh have slipped one spot to 184th in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday (July 10), following mixed results during the June international window.
The men's national team, led by captain Jamal Bhuyan, played two matches last month. They secured a 2-0 victory over Bhutan in a friendly but suffered a disappointing 1-2 defeat against Singapore in a crucial home fixture of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
World champions Argentina continue to dominate the top of the rankings, maintaining their position as the number one team globally.
In the South Asian region, other teams also saw drops in their rankings: India fell six places to 133rd; Maldives dropped seven spots to 171st; Nepal slipped one place to 176th; Bhutan went down four steps to 186th; Pakistan fell three places to 201st.
