Bangladesh suffers 3-0 series clean sweep against Pakistan
Bangladesh endured a series whitewash, losing 3-0 to Pakistan after being defeated in the final T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday (June 1).
Bangladesh posted 196 for 6 after being put in to bat first. Openers Parvez Hossain Emon (66 off 34) and Tanzid Hasan (42 off 32) provided a solid start with a 110-run partnership. Contributions from Litton Das (22), Towhid Hridoy (25), and late cameos from Jaker Ali and Tanzim Sakib added valuable runs to the total.
Chasing a target of 197, Mohammad Haris led the charge with a blistering unbeaten 107 off just 46 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes. His knock powered Pakistan to 197 for 3 in 17.2 overs, finishing the match with 16 balls to spare.
After losing Sahibzada Farhan in the first over to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Pakistan recovered through a 92-run partnership between Haris and Saim Ayub. Ayub scored 45 off 29 deliveries, while Hasan Nawaz added 26. Captain Salman Agha remained unbeaten on 15, sharing a 60-run stand with Haris to seal the win.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the standout performer with the ball for Bangladesh, claiming 2 for 26, as the rest of the bowling unit struggled on a flat pitch.
