Bangladesh thanks Pakistan for role in resolving Middle East conflict

Bangladesh has thanked Pakistan for its role in resolving the Middle East conflict through dialogue.

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman praised Pakistan's contribution during a meeting with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the information in a notification on Saturday, April 18.

According to the notification, Dr Khalilur Rahman is currently in Turkey to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 (ADF), an international diplomatic forum.

On the sidelines of the conference, a bilateral meeting was held between the foreign ministers of Bangladesh and Pakistan on Friday. During the meeting, the two foreign ministers discussed the latest updates on resolving the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region.

They also discussed moving forward bilateral relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir was also present at the meeting.
