Bangladesh U-19 women level series beating Pakistan

After losing the opening match, Bangladesh Under-19 women’s team staged a strong comeback. They beat Pakistan by three wickets in the second T20 of the series in Cox’s Bazar, levelling the series 1-1.

Winning the toss and batting first, Pakistan posted 80 for seven in the allotted 20 overs. Atoshi Majumdar struck early, followed by Jarin Tasnim Labonno, breaking Pakistan’s top order. Ravael Farhan scored 15 off 31, Komal Khan 28 off 42 and Zufishan Ayaz 17 off 27. Bangladesh’s Habiba claimed four wickets.

Chasing 81, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and fell under pressure. Despite losing four wickets for 36, opener Sumaiya Akter Suborna kept the chase alive, scoring 32 off 38. In the middle order, Farzana Islam Medha provided support.

Three wickets fell between the 16th and 18th overs, making the chase stiff again. With 11 needed off the last two overs, Sadia Akter took charge. Remaining unbeaten on 13 off 10 balls, she hit two boundaries in the 19th over to seal victory for Bangladesh. Pakistan’s Memona Khalid and Alisa Mukhtiar took two wickets each.
