Bangladeshi ultra runner Imamur Rahman has successfully completed the 100-kilometer category of the UTMB trail marathon held in China.

The race took place in Moganshan, where Rahman overcame challenging weather conditions to cross the finish line, proudly carrying the Bangladeshi flag on Friday (April 10).

According to the organizers, the actual race distance was approximately 80 kilometers, featuring an elevation gain of 4,600 meters. Competing against nearly 5,000 athletes, Rahman finished the grueling course in 20 hours and 3 minutes.

Shortly after the race began, participants were met with heavy rain, strong winds, and freezing temperatures. Despite the harsh conditions, Rahman demonstrated remarkable endurance and mental resilience to complete the race.

Notably, Imamur Rahman has achieved an impressive milestone by completing three demanding trail races within just 25 days. He finished a 97-kilometer race in Xiamen on March 15, China, followed by a 30-kilometer trail race in Conghua on March 29.

Earlier, he made history as the first Bangladeshi to complete the UTMB Asia Major event in Thailand.

Imamur Rahman is considered a pioneer in ultra trail running in Bangladesh and continues to represent the country on the international stage through his independent efforts. He is now preparing to participate in various global hybrid sports events in the near future.
