Bangladeshi-origin girl clinches gold in international martial art tournament
Bangladeshi expatriate student Ariana Huda Nikita has won gold medal in the Kumite category at 'Shotokan Cup 2025 Club Martial Art Championship'.
Held in the United Arab Emirates, the event was attended by about 200 competitors from different countries on May 18.
Nikita, a third-grader, emerged as the best after showing excellent performance in the age-based category.
Nikita is the only daughter of Nazmul Huda, an IT officer at Janata Bank PLC, UAE, and engineer Sraboni Alam Supta, and is currently a student at Mamura British Academy in Abu Dhabi.
Expatriate Bangladeshis consider Nikita's achievement at an international level at a young age to be inspiring for future generations.
