Bangladesh-origin Artist Sanjoy featured in FIFA World Cup 2026 official album
Bangladesh-origin American DJ and music producer Sanjoy has been included in the official music album for the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking a significant milestone ahead of football’s global showpiece.
FIFA confirmed the development on Thursday (June 4), a statement later shared by Sanjoy on his social media platforms.
Sanjoy is also scheduled to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony, as previously announced.
Expressing his excitement, Sanjoy said he had long dreamed of creating music that would reach the world’s biggest stage, recalling his upbringing in San Jose, California, where he grew up between two cultures while pursuing music.
He described his inclusion in the official World Cup album as a major personal achievement, saying it was surreal to see his work become part of the soundtrack of the world’s biggest sporting event.
The artist also dedicated the milestone to aspiring young talents, saying it represents not only his success but also the dreams of children who dare to imagine big futures.
Sanjoy’s track titled “Sir Sir” is part of the official album and features Bollywood performer and actress Nora Fatehi alongside French artist Vegedream.
Born in Srimangal and raised in Chattogram before moving to the United States, Sanjoy has often credited his multicultural upbringing for shaping his musical identity. Music also runs in his family, with both his mother and grandmother having been involved in music.
