Bayern Munich clinch 34th Bundesliga title in style
Bayern Munich have secured their record-extending 34th Bundesliga title after defeating VfB Stuttgart, sealing the championship with four matches remaining in the season.
The title was confirmed following Borussia Dortmund’s defeat on Saturday (April 18), meaning Bayern needed just a single point to clinch the crown. However, Vincent Kompany’s side went beyond that, celebrating in style with a commanding victory at the Allianz Arena.
Stuttgart took an early lead in the 21st minute, briefly putting pressure on the hosts. But Bayern responded strongly, scoring three quick goals before half-time to take full control of the match.
Alphonso Davies added another before the break, capitalising on a defensive lapse from goalkeeper Alexander Nübel to extend Bayern’s advantage.
In the second half, substitute Harry Kane made an immediate impact, scoring in the 52nd minute after a rebound from a Leon Goretzka shot, effectively putting the game beyond doubt.
Stuttgart managed a late consolation goal in the 88th minute, but by then Bayern were already in celebration mode.
With this triumph, Bayern Munich have now won 13 of the last 14 Bundesliga titles, further reinforcing their long-standing dominance in German football.
