BCB election on Oct 6

The election of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) directors, along with the president and vice-president to be chosen by the directors’ vote, will be held on October 6. The schedule was announced on Sunday.

According to the schedule, nominated councillors will cast their votes at a five-star hotel in Dhaka from 10am to 4pm on October 6. The counting will follow, with results to be announced at 6pm.

On the same day, at 7:30pm, the directors will vote to elect the BCB president and vice-president. Results of those votes will be declared at 9pm.

The draft voter list for the election will be published at 7pm Monday. It will be available at the office of the election commissioner at the BCB headquarters in Mirpur Stadium, as well as on the BCB website.

Objections to the draft voter list may be submitted on September 23, with hearings scheduled for September 24. The final voter list will be released on September 25. BCB will distribute nomination papers on September 26 and 27, and submissions must be made on September 28.

The election commission will scrutinize the nomination papers and publish the list on September 29. Appeals and hearings will be held on September 30, while nominations may be withdrawn on October 1. The final list of candidates will then be announced.
