BCB election schedule announced, voting on June 7

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has finally announced the schedule for its board of directors' election. According to the schedule released on Saturday, May 16, the election will be held on June 7.

Nomination papers will be sold on May 20 and 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the BCB office. The list of nomination papers will be published by the Election Commission on May 23 after scrutiny. Hearings on objections to the scrutinised nomination list will be held the following day.

Candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nominations on May 25 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The final list of candidates will be published at 2:00 pm that day. Applications for postal ballots or e-ballots must also be submitted on May 25.

The election for BCB directors and the posts of president and vice-president will be held at the board room on June 7, with results to be announced the same day.

A total of 23 directors will be elected from three categories. Ten will be elected from Category-1 (district-division category), 12 from Category-2 (club category), and one from the former cricketer category.
