BCB forms probe committee over Jahanara’s sexual harassment allegations

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to form an investigation committee to probe allegations of sexual harassment made by national women’s team cricketer Jahanara Alam against former women’s team selector and manager Manjurul Islam Manju.

In a recent video interview, Jahanara claimed she had reported incidents of harassment to the BCB multiple times but received no response.

Terming the matter “sensitive,” the BCB said in a statement that a committee would conduct a thorough investigation and submit its report with recommendations within 15 working days.

The board also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all players and staff, adding that appropriate action would be taken based on the committee’s findings.
