BCB plans Shakib’s return in Pakistan series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is planning to bring back Shakib Al Hasan to the national team in the upcoming home ODI series against Pakistan in March.

The decision to consider Shakib for selection was taken formally for the first time at a recent board meeting.

According to the BCB, selectors will be free to include him in the squad if his form and fitness are found satisfactory.

BCB president Aminul Islam has initiated discussions with the government to facilitate Shakib’s return to the country and ease the process of his comeback.

If existing legal issues are resolved, the board hopes Shakib will once again don the national jersey starting with the Pakistan series.
