The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has directed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman from their squad. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia told news agency ANI that the decision comes in light of recent developments between two neibouring countries. “Due to recent incidents, BCCI has instructed the KKR franchise to let go of Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman. The board has also said that if the franchise wishes to replace him, approval will be granted,” Saikia said in Guwahati.

কলকাতা নাইট রাইডার্স থেকে বাংলাদেশের পেসার মোস্তাফিজুর রহমানকে বাদ দেওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে ভারতের ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিসিআই)। সাম্প্রতিক নানা ঘটনার প্রেক্ষিতে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে বলে বার্তা সংস্থা এএনআইকে জানিয়েছেন ভারতীয় বোর্ডের সচিব দেবাজিৎ সাইকিয়া। গোহাটিতে বিসিসিআই সচিব বলেছেন, ‘সাম্প্রতিক ঘটনার কারণে বিসিসিআই কেকেআর ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজিকে তাদের দলে থাকা বাংলাদেশের খেলোয়াড় মোস্তাফিজুর রহমানকে ছেড়ে দেওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে। বিসিসিআই আরও বলেছে, তারা যদি খেলোয়াড় বদলাতে চায়, বিসিসিআই সেই&nbsp;অনুমতিও&nbsp;দেবে।’
