Senegal had the match in their grasp until the 85th minute, but an incredible late drama turned everything upside down as Belgium fought back to draw 2-2, sending their World Cup Round of 32 clash into extra time.

Senegal dominated possession and attack from the start. Habib Diarra opened the scoring in the 25th minute, and Ismaila Sarr doubled the lead early in the second half (51st minute).

Belgium's attack was ineffective for long periods, unable to register a shot on target despite the presence of Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku.

But the match changed in the final five minutes. Romelu Lukaku pulled one back in the 86th minute with a clinical finish from inside the box. Just three minutes later, Youri Tielemans scored a brilliant equaliser to complete an incredible comeback.

Statistics showed Belgium had 15 shots (4 on target) to Senegal's 12 (4 on target), and edged possession 54-46. Both teams received one yellow card each.

The match has now gone to extra time, with a place in the last 16 at stake. A win would have been Senegal's first-ever World Cup knockout victory, while Belgium's comeback demonstrated their never-say-die spirit.
