The Bangladesh women's football team has created history by qualifying for the main stage of the AFC Women's Asian Cup for the first time. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is felicitating the team to recognize this remarkable achievement. However, there is a controversy over the timing of the felicitation. The event has been organized at 2:30 am today (Monday) at the Hatirjheel Amphitheater in the capital.

The BFF has informed that due to time constraints, the event had to be organized at midnight. The women's team will depart from Myanmar on Sunday evening and reach Dhaka via Thailand at around 1:30 am. After that, they will complete the airport formalities and reach the felicitation stage directly.

The main reason for the felicitation at midnight is that two of the team's reliable players, Rituparna Chakma and Monika Chakma, will leave for Bhutan early Monday morning. Three more players will leave the country two days later. Therefore, the BFF has set this time to honor the entire team together.

However, many football fans and analysts have raised questions about the players not having a chance to rest after a long journey due to the event being held at such a late hour. Many say that this can create unwanted pressure not only for the players, but also for security and everyone else involved in the organization.

Earlier, chaos also occurred during the reception in an open-top bus after the women's team's clear victory. Rituparna Chakma injured her head after hitting a billboard on the road. She was later taken to the hospital and required three stitches on her head.
