BNP has made a special request urging everyone not to spread any speculative or untrue information about the health condition of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment in the CCU at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Her physical condition is being constantly monitored under the supervision of a medical board consisting of local and foreign specialist doctors, the BNP Media Cell posted on its Facebook page on Friday (November 28).

The post said: "It is very important to maintain responsibility regarding information related to Khaleda Zia's health condition. A special request is made to everyone not to spread any speculative or untrue information from outside the doctors without verification."

"We are humbly appealing to the countrymen to continue praying and supplicating to the Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery of the leader Begum Khaleda Zia."

Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital with breathing difficulties due to lung infection. Then she got pneumonia. Along with this, there are old problems of kidney, liver, arthritis and diabetes. As a result, the situation is such that treating one disease is adversely affecting another.

In such a situation, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has described Khaleda Zia's physical condition as 'extremely critical'.

BNP leaders say that her condition has not improved in the last two days. Doctors are thinking of taking her to Singapore as soon as possible for better treatment.

Meanwhile, the chief adviser to the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman have expressed deep concern about Khaleda Zia's current physical condition.

Meanwhile, BNP leaders and activists have thronged the Evercare Hospital in the capital to get information about Khaleda Zia's physical condition. Law enforcement agencies have said that additional police have been deployed in front of the hospital.
