In the unofficial results of the Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency, BNP candidate Md. Asaduzzaman has been declared the winner. Contesting with the party’s electoral symbol “Sheaf of Paddy,” he secured 171,598 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat candidate Abu Saleh Md. Matiur Rahman, received 55,577 votes with the “Scales” symbol. Returning Officer Md. Abdullah Al Masud announced the unofficial results shortly before 8:00 pm on Thursday. The total number of registered voters in the constituency is 325,278.

ঝিনাইদহ-১ (শৈলকুপা) আসনের বেসরকারি ফলাফলে বিএনপির প্রার্থী মো. আসাদুজ্জামান বিজয়ী হয়েছেন। ধানের শীষ প্রতীকে তিনি পেয়েছেন ১ লাখ ৭১ হাজার ৫৯৮ ভোট। তার নিকটতম প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী জামায়াতের প্রার্থী আবু ছালেহ মো. মতিউর রহমান দাঁড়িপাল্লা প্রতীকে অর্জন করেছেন ৫৫ হাজার ৫৭৭ ভোট। বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ৮টার কিছু আগে বেসরকারিভাবে রিটার্নিং কর্মকর্তা মো. আব্দুল্লাহ আল মাসউদ এ ফলাফল ঘোষণা করেন। এ আসনে মোট ভোটার সংখ্যা ৩ লাখ ২৫ হাজার ২৭৮ জন।
