July fighter Arman found hanging in Dhaka home

Police have recovered the hanging body of July fighter Arman Ahmad Shafin from his residence in Uttar Faydabad, Dakshinkhan, on Saturday afternoon (November 1).

Arman, a former convener of the July Joddha Sangsad and an injured participant in the July Movement, lived with his parents and wife.

He was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside a locked room of his house, police said.

Family members informed police after repeated calls went unanswered. Officers later broke open the door and recovered the body.

Taifur Rahman Mirza, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dakshinkhan Police Station, said, "Preliminary findings suggest family disputes might be behind the incident."

"The body has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy," he added.
