‘Bonolota Express’ unveils first official poster, release in Eid
Star-studded film 'Bonolota Express' has unveiled it's the official poster, showcasing a nostalgic train journey bathed in blue and yellow hues.
Directed by Tanim Noor, the poster features the faces of the ensemble cast on both sides, with the tagline in the middle reading: “100% Pure Bangladeshi Cinema.”
The poster was released on Thursday evening (February 26) across the digital platform of Hoichoi Bangladesh as well as on the social media pages of the director and cast members.
The makers said teasers, trailers and songs will be rolled out in phases.
The film boasts a stellar lineup including Mosharraf Karim (Rashid Uddin), Chanchal Chowdhury (Mr. A.K.K), Shariful Raj (Dr. Ashhab), Sabila Nur (Chitra), Zakia Bari Mamo (Afia), Azmeri Haque Badhon (Surma), Shamol Mawla (Aziz) and Shamima Nazneen (Sajeda). Intekhab Dinar appears in the role of Borochacha.
Adapted from acclaimed author Humayun Ahmed’s novel 'Kichukkhon', the film is slated for release nationwide during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, followed by an international release on April 3.
The story follows Chitra, a third-year Physics student at Dhaka University, who boards a train to Dinajpur to visit her ailing uncle. On the same journey is young doctor Ashhab, travelling with his mother to their village home. Their intertwined journey forms the heart of the narrative.
Produced by Buriganga Talkies and co-produced by Hoichoi Studios, the film has received overall production support from DoP.
Speaking about the project, director Tanim Noor said that just as a train connects one end of the country to another, the film seeks to weave together human relationships, laughter, tears and emotions into a single thread.
Tanim Noor made his feature debut with 'Phire Esho Behula' in 2011. He later gained recognition with the anthology film 'Iti Tomari Dhaka' and last year’s Eid-ul-Azha release 'Utsab'.
