The launch and publication celebration of the children’s rhyme book Kachamithe Pholer Chhora (Rhymes of Tangy-Sweet Fruits) by children's author Amit Kumar Kundu was held in Dhaka.

The event took place on Friday (August 1) at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in Banglamotor, organized by the book’s publisher, Panjeri Publications Ltd. Presided over by educationist, researcher, and columnist Syed Md. Golam Faruk, the event featured author Rafiqul Rashid as the chief guest. Other guests included writer and journalist Dantya Rowshan, folklorist and poet Tapan Bagchi, and children's author Sangita Imam.

The uniquely sized and compact book introduces 124 native and international fruits through rhymes and verses, highlighting their nutritional value and health benefits, all presented with artistic illustrations across its pages. Renowned elocutionist Jannatul Ferdous Mukta performed recitations from the book at the event.

Speakers noted that the book draws inspiration from Jean-Jacques Rousseau's nature-based educational philosophy. Much like how Rabindranath Tagore implemented this approach through Visva-Bharati, this book fosters a similar connection between children and nature—educating them while nurturing their sense of wonder.
