Bottle thrown at singer Hasan during July concert

Hasan, vocalist of the popular band Ark, faced an unpleasant incident at a concert titled 'Borsha Biplober Gaan' (Songs of the Monsoon Revolution), organized in the capital's Manik Mia Avenue to mark July Mass Uprising Day. A water bottle was thrown at him from the audience while he was performing.

The concert, held on Wednesday (August 5), featured popular artists and bands from across the country, including Parsha, Sezan, Kurighor, Arbovirus, Avoid Rafa, Asif Akbar, Shironamhin, Ark, and Artcell.

In a video that spread on social media, a water bottle is seen striking Hasan in the face while he was singing in front of the audience, splashing water on his body and the stage. However, he continued singing without being visibly shaken and completed the entire performance.

Following the incident, composer and lyricist Prince Mahmud expressed outrage. In a Facebook post, he questioned why a bottle was thrown at an artist while he was performing on stage, and why some people in the front rows were chanting "fake, fake."

Calling for the identification and action against those responsible, he said ensuring maximum security for a performing artist on stage is one of the foremost responsibilities of any event organizer, and questioned whether the organizers had properly fulfilled that responsibility.

After the video of the incident spread on social media, it sparked widespread discussion and criticism. Many have demanded stronger security for artists at concerts and cultural events in the future to prevent such incidents from happening again.
