BPL adjusts opening-day fixtures for opening ceremony

The 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will get underway on December 26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Due to the opening ceremony, the BPL Event Technical Committee has revised the match schedule for the tournament’s opening day.

According to a notice issued on Saturday (December 21), the first match of the day will now start at 3:00pm instead of the originally scheduled 2:00pm. The first session will run until 4:30pm, followed by a 20-minute break. The second session will begin at 4:50pm and conclude at 6:20pm.

The schedule for the second match has also been adjusted. The floodlit evening match will start at 7:45pm, with the first session continuing until 9:15pm. After a 20-minute interval, the second session will resume at 9:35pm and end at 11:05pm.

BPL authorities said the changes were made to facilitate a brief opening ceremony before the matches. The revised timings will apply only to the opening day of the tournament.
