Brazil dominate first half, lead Scotland 3-0
Brazil have taken complete control of their World Cup Group C match against Scotland, leading 3-0 at half-time with a display of attacking brilliance, pace and clinical finishing.
Brazil started on the front foot and took the lead in the 7th minute through Vinicius Junior, who capitalised on a defensive error from Scott McKenna to slot home. The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute when Vinicius scored again, though the goal was initially subject to a VAR review for a foul in the build-up.
Brazil continued their dominance and added a third in the 60th minute through Matheus Cunha, who scored his third goal of the tournament with a brilliant finish from Bruno Guimaraes' second assist of the match.
Brazil dominated possession and attack throughout, with Casemiro controlling the midfield and preventing Scotland from building any organised attacks. Scotland's defence was repeatedly caught out, and they created very few chances.
The match also marked the long-awaited return of Neymar Jr., who entered the field in the 75th minute to a huge roar from the Miami crowd after 982 days away from international football.
With a 3-0 lead, Brazil comfortably secured top spot in Group C, while Scotland became the seventh team eliminated from the tournament.
