BSPUA condemns clash between Daffodil, City University students

The Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA) has expressed deep concern and condemnation over the recent clash between students of Daffodil International University and City University in Ashulia, which left several students injured and caused extensive damage, including arson at the City University campus.

In a statement, BSPUA described the incident as a “disgraceful chapter” in the history of private universities.

The organisation thanked the University Grants Commission (UGC) for forming an investigation committee and expressed hope that the probe would identify those responsible and ensure exemplary punishment.

BSPUA also called for proper treatment and full compensation for the injured students and the affected institution, urging the government to take necessary steps.

It further appealed to university authorities, trustees, teachers, and students to act responsibly to prevent such incidents in the future.
