Miscreants set a passenger bus on fire at Motijheel Bak Chattar in the capital on Thursday, the second day of the 10th phase of the blockade called by BNP and its like-minded parties. The incident occurred around 9:30 am. However, no casualty was reported in the incident. Confirming the matter, Fire Service headquarters Duty Officer Rozina Akter said, "On information, the fire service unit went to Motijheel to douse the fire. However, before reaching fire service men, the locals extinguished the fire."

বিএনপির দশম দফার অবরোধ চলছে। এর দ্বিতীয় দিনে রাজধানীর মতিঝিলে গাজীপুর পরিবহনের একটি বাসে আগুন দিয়েছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। বৃহস্পতিবার (৭ ডিসেম্বর) সকাল সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে মতিঝিল বক চত্বরে এ অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনা ঘটে। ফায়ার সার্ভিস অ্যান্ড সিভিল ডিফেন্স অধিদপ্তরের দায়িত্বরত কর্মকর্তা রোজিনা আক্তার জানান, সকাল সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে মতিঝিলে গাজীপুর পরিবহনের একটি বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগের খবর পায় ফায়ার সার্ভিস। পরে ঘটনাস্থলে দুটি ইউনিট পাঠানো হয়। তবে ঘটনাস্থলে যাওয়ার আগেই স্থানীয়রা আগুন নিভিয়ে ফেলেন। এ ঘটনায় কোনো হতাহতের খবর পাওয়া যায়নি।
