By Allah's grace, we are safe and well: Apu Biswas from Nepal

Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas has reassured fans and well-wishers that she and the entire team of her upcoming film Shikaar are safe in Nepal amid a devastating natural disaster that has left hundreds of people missing.

Addressing the concerns through social media on Wednesday evening, Biswas said she had been receiving calls and messages from fans, journalists, relatives and friends seeking updates about her safety after reports of the disaster emerged.

“By Allah’s grace, the entire Shikaar team is in a safe place. Everyone is healthy and well,” she said, expressing gratitude for the concern and support from her well-wishers.

Reports of the disaster, including flash floods and seismic activity, had raised concerns about the safety of foreign tourists in the Himalayan country, prompting many to seek updates on the Bangladeshi film crew working there.

Biswas travelled to Nepal earlier this month for the shooting of Shikaar. The film also stars Mortoza Polash opposite Biswas, along with Kolkata-based actors Rajatabha Dutta and Samm Bhattacharya, among others.
