Dhallywood's rising actress Camelia Ranga is steadily building a multifaceted career, transitioning from Dhallywood to the international fashion arena while continuing to strengthen her presence in film and television.

In a recent interview, the actress reflected on her journey from a culturally enriched upbringing to becoming a recognised face in the entertainment industry.

Growing up in a family engaged in theatre, music, and poetry, Ranga developed an early passion for performance, though she had not initially envisioned acting as her career.

Her breakthrough came under the direction of Mizanur Rahman Labu, where she chose a realistic, story-driven project that laid the foundation for her film career. She made her big-screen debut with the film, 'Nooru Mia O Tar Beauty Driver'.

Ranga began her television career in 2016 with the drama 'Tapaswini', aired on NTV, working alongside notable actors including Shajal Noor, Tariq Anam Khan, and Dr Enamul Haque—an experience she credits for boosting her confidence early in her career.

She later appeared opposite Fazlur Rahman Babu in films, consistently favouring content-driven and realistic roles over purely glamorous portrayals. Though she has acted in four films so far, Ranga has sought to bring distinct depth to each performance.

Her work has also gained international exposure, with her films screened at festivals in India, earning recognition abroad. Recently, she was selected as a model for a Los Angeles-based international fashion magazine and is preparing to travel to the United States for upcoming engagements.

Ranga said acting remains central to her identity, describing it as “something that runs in my blood,” and expressed her ambition to continue performing throughout her life. She also aims to establish herself in commercial cinema and hopes to work alongside leading actor Shakib Khan.

Beyond acting, she has been involved in trading since 2021 and is currently working on solar energy projects, underscoring her focus on financial independence alongside her creative pursuits.

On the personal front, Ranga said she is in no rush to marry, adding that she values responsibility and family-oriented qualities in a future partner.

During a recent visit to Malaysia, she said she was deeply moved by the struggles of Bangladeshi expatriates, expressing respect for their resilience.

With growing international exposure and a diversified career path, Camelia Ranga continues to position herself as a dynamic and forward-looking figure in the entertainment industry.
