Campaign for 13th Parliamentary Election begins
The interim government has officially launched its campaign for the 13th National Parliamentary Election, scheduled to be held in February next year.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued by the Office of the Chief Adviser on Sunday, November 2.
In the first teaser of the campaign, retired Captain Khan Subayel Bin Rafiq, coordinator of the BDR massacre investigation activities and representative of the families of the disappeared, urged the people of Bangladesh to participate in the upcoming election.
In the video, Subayel says, “Leaving behind the chapters of the past, Bangladesh is now moving towards the most significant election in its history. Through this election, you will decide the future of the nation.”
The teaser also declares, “Election 2026 — the key to the nation lies in your hands. Decide through your vote what kind of Bangladesh you want to see.”
Earlier, in a national address on August 5, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus announced that the 13th Parliamentary Election would be held in the first half of February next year.
