Host Canada has taken a 2-0 lead against Qatar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group B match. The match, which started at 4 am Bangladesh time on Friday (June 19) at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, is currently in great control.

Although both teams started the match evenly with attack-for-attack, neither team was able to score a goal. However, Canada increased the pace of the match and created continuous pressure and scored two goals one after the other as a result of that pressure.

After conceding two goals, Qatar is trying to return to the match. Although they created some opportunities in the attack, Canada's defense has so far put up a very organized resistance. The hosts are stopping Qatar's attacks, especially with quick counter-pressing.

If they can hold on to this lead, Canada will take a big step towards the crucial three points in the group stage. Qatar, on the other hand, needs a quick goal to get back into the match.
