China-Bangladesh Theatre Festival postponed

The China-Bangladesh Theatre Festival, scheduled to be held on Thursday evening at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

The announcement was made in an official statement posted on the Academy’s verified Facebook page Thursday morning.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, the 'China-Bangladesh Theatre Festival', jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy and the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, has been postponed,” the statement said. The event was set to take place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the National Theatre Hall.

Organizers have confirmed that the new date and schedule for the festival will be announced later.

On Wednesday, the Academy had issued a press release stating that the one-day festival was being organized as part of the ongoing cultural exchange and celebration of friendly bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China. The event was to be held exclusively for invited guests.
