Cocktail explosion at Chobir Hut in Suhrawardy Udyan

A cocktail explosion occurred at Chobir Hut adjacent to Suhrawardy Udyan in Shahbag, Dhaka. No one was injured. The incident took place at 9:55am on Monday, November 17.

Local sources said several miscreants detonated the explosive and quickly fled.

No casualties were reported in the incident. The explosion occurred at Chobir Hut on the south side of Shahbag Police Station.

Duty officer Sub-Inspector Rajib Chowdhury of Shahbag Police Station told the media, “We have received reports of a cocktail explosion at Chobir Hut in Suhrawardy Udyan. A team is working at the scene.”
