Cricket Australia cancels Women's T20I series against Bangladesh

Cricket Australia (CA) has canceled the previously scheduled three-match Women's T20I series against Bangladesh, originally set for October, due to the upcoming 2027 ICC Women's Champions Trophy.

Instead of playing Bangladesh in the shortest format, the Australian women's team will now host New Zealand for three T20Is during that window, followed by a three-match ODI series in March.

This reshuffling of Australia’s domestic international calendar comes after the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to shift the inaugural edition of the Women's Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka from its initial June-July window to February 2027.

According to the original schedule, the Bangladesh women's cricket team was slated to play three ODIs and three T20Is against Australia in Brisbane and Sydney from October 9 to October 22. Under the newly revised schedule, the ODI series remains intact, while the T20I series stands canceled.
