Women's T-20 World Cup
Cricket world awaits new champions
New Zealand and South Africa will compete in ICC Women’s T-20 World Cup final today (Sunday), with both teams aiming for their first-ever World Cup title. The match will begin at 8:00 pm Bangladesh time at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
New Zealand reached the final after defeating the West Indies by 8 runs in the semifinals. This is their first final since 2010. New Zealand had previously reached the final in 2009 and 2010 but failed to win the title both times.
On the other hand, South Africa secured their spot by beating Australia, the six-time World Cup champions, in the semifinals. Regardless of today’s outcome, the Women’s T-20 World Cup will see a new champion, as neither New Zealand nor South Africa have won the tournament before.
