The country's cricketers have announced a boycott of all forms of cricket following the controversial comments of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director M Nazmul Islam.

The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) has decided not to take the field in any match until the BCB director resigns.

According to CWAB sources, the cricketers had already started a movement demanding the resignation of Nazmul Islam. However, since he has not resigned so far, the cricketers have decided to boycott all forms of cricket activities.

CWAB President Mohammad Mithun announced this decision at a press conference on Thursday (January 15). He said that there is only one condition for going to the field - there must be an official commitment from the BCB that this person will not be in the BCB within 48 hours. If he stays, the cricketers will not take the responsibility of stopping the game. The BCB must officially announce the matter.

The CWAB president further said that the cricketers have taken this stand not for any personal interest, but for the sake of cricket. They will not return to the field until a specific announcement is made from the BCB.

Meanwhile, this announcement by the cricketers has created extreme instability in the country's cricket. There is uncertainty about the domestic and international schedule, including the BPL. The direction in which the situation turns now depends on the BCB's decision.
