Cristiano Ronaldo ties knot finally

After nearly a decade of living together, Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has finally tied the knot with his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez.

The couple officially got married on Tuesday (11 August), bringing an end to their long-standing relationship without marriage.

Renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on social media.

Following the wedding ceremony, Ronaldo himself posted a photograph on his verified Facebook page. The picture shows the newlyweds holding each other’s hands, with wedding rings visible on their fingers.

Over the past few days, rumours surrounding the couple’s wedding invitation had been circulating widely on social media. Those rumours have now turned into reality.

Ronaldo and Georgina began their relationship nearly ten years ago. During this long period, they not only built a happy family together but Georgina also remained by Ronaldo’s side through the ups and downs of his career and celebrated his many successes with him.

In previous interviews, Ronaldo had said that they were waiting for the right time and would formalise their marriage when they felt the moment was appropriate.

In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo recalled the special moment when he proposed to Georgina.

He said that he did not propose in an elaborate setting or through a lavish arrangement.

Instead, he simply asked Georgina to become his life partner late at night. After receiving a ring from a friend, Ronaldo did not want to wait any longer.

Interestingly, in the middle of that emotional moment, two of their children suddenly entered the room and became unexpected witnesses to the memorable occasion.

The Portuguese superstar currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. As he enters the twilight of his illustrious career, the football legend has begun a new chapter in his personal life, drawing an outpouring of congratulations from fans and teammates.

Ronaldo and Georgina have been living together since 2016. In addition to their own children, Georgina has also helped raise Ronaldo’s children from previous relationships with affection and care.
