Crocodile let drag dog into pond: Kanak Chapa calls humans ‘most dangerous species’
A tragic incident involving a dog being killed by a crocodile at a pond near the shrine of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (RA) in Bagerhat has sparked public outrage and widespread debate on social media.
Popular Bangladeshi singer Kanak Chapa reacted strongly to the incident, saying humans are the “most dangerous species” on Earth.
In a Facebook post on Saturday night (April 11), she wrote: “Crocodiles, dogs, hyenas, tigers or lions—none of them. The most dangerous creature on this earth is human.”
Her remarks quickly went viral, triggering intense discussion online.
The incident occurred on April 8 near the southern ghat area of the shrine pond, where a dog reportedly fell into the water and was seized by a crocodile present in the pond.
A video circulating on social media shows the dog sitting near the pond before falling into the water and being dragged away by the crocodile.
The footage has drawn sharp reactions, with many users criticising bystanders for filming the incident instead of attempting to rescue the animal.
