Cuba Mitchell called up to Bangladesh national football team

Cuba Mitchell has been called up to the Bangladesh national football team camp for the first time, confirmed manager Amir Khan on Sunday (November 9).

The camp, preparing for the Asian Cup qualifier against India, began on October 30.

Injuries to Rahmat Mia and Mohammad Ibrahim opened spots for Mitchell and Morshed Ali in the preliminary squad. They will train at the Bashundhara Kings Arena.

Mitchell, who received clearance to play for Bangladesh in June, missed previous national team camps for matches against Singapore and Hong Kong. Initially left out of the India squad, he now has a chance to secure a place in the final team following Ibrahim’s injury.

The national team will play a friendly against Nepal at the National Stadium on November 13 before facing India.
