CWAB names Mohammad Mithun as new president
Mohammad Mithun has been elected the new president of the Cricketers' Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB), defeating former cricketer and match referee Salim Shahed.
The election took place following the CWAB’s annual general meeting at the BCB Academy Bhaban in Mirpur on Thursday (September 4), with voting starting at 3.00pm.
Many members participated online, including voters from abroad.
All other 11 committee posts had unopposed candidates, making their victories automatic. The presidential race was the main focus of attention, drawing keen interest from the cricketing community.
