Cricketers have demanded the resignation of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director M Nazmul Islam. Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) has made this demand in protest against Nazmul's controversial comments about cricketers.

CWAB has announced that cricketers will stop all forms of play if he does not resign before the start of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match at 1 pm on Thursday.

CWAB President Mohammad Mithun announced this ultimatum on behalf of the organization at a press conference organized on Zoom on Wednesday night.

Responding to a question about the loss of cricketers if they do not play in the T20 World Cup, BCB Director and Finance Committee Head Mr. Islam said on Wednesday afternoon, "They cannot do anything, then are we demanding the money back which we are spending on them?"

In protest against such comments, the cricketers demanded his resignation and announced the programme.
