Dawra-e-Hadith graduates from Qawmi madrasa now eligible to apply as marriage registrars

Individuals holding approved Dawra-e-Hadith certificates from Qawmi madrasas are now eligible to apply for the post of nikah registrar (marriage registrar), following necessary amendments made by the Ministry of Law.

Legal adviser for law and parliamentary affairs, Asif Nazrul, confirmed the change through a post on his personal Facebook page on Sunday, stating that those holding higher degrees from recognised Qawmi boards now qualify for the post.

Previously, eligibility for the post was limited to individuals with an Alim certificate, but the amendment now officially allows Qawmi graduates into the profession.
