Iran launched extensive missile attacks overnight on Sunday, June 15, targeting residential areas in several Israeli cities, including the port city of Haifa, Tel Aviv, and surrounding towns. Israeli authorities report that at least eight people were killed in the latest strikes, bringing the total death toll since Friday to 24.

The British news outlet BBC cited Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office and local media in reporting the figures.

Israeli health officials confirmed that nearly 300 people have been hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the attacks.

Meanwhile, the number of casualties in Iran resulting from Israeli airstrikes has risen to 224 as of Sunday.

Hossein Kermanpur, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Health, posted on social media platform X that in the past 65 hours, 244 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Iran, with 1,277 others hospitalized. He noted that among the deceased are women and children, and over 90 percent of the casualties are civilians.

Iran has continued its attacks on Israel for the fourth consecutive day.

Reports from Israeli media outlets, including the Times of Israel and the Jerusalem Post, indicated explosions in central Israel and a direct missile strike on a building in the city of Petah Tikva. Two locations in Tel Aviv also reportedly suffered missile hits.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have warned the public not to share attack locations or videos on social media, citing concerns that enemy forces could use such information to enhance the effectiveness of future strikes.
