The death toll from an Israeli air strike on a girls' school in Minab, Hormozgan province, Iran, has risen to 51. Another 60 people have been injured in the attack.

The United States and Israel launched coordinated surprise strikes on various locations in Iran on Saturday morning, February 28. The strikes targeted Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, several ministers and high-ranking military officials. They also attacked various civilian infrastructures.

Casualty figures from other locations are not yet known. However, 51 people have been killed in this one school alone.

Mohammad Redameher, a government official in Minab city, said Israel directly targeted the school.

Over 170 students were present at the school at the time of the attack. He expressed concern that the death toll may rise further as rescue operations continue.
